Imaginary
A couple weeks ago, in September, I found loads of wildlife, yet I did not have my 200-600 at the time.
Weeks later I got out there again with my 200-600, walking the same route that I did before.
I only happened to see 3 deer in 2 hours. I wasn’t that hopeful. Often when I lose hope, I stumble upon the craziest moments. This is one of those moments.
I surprisingly spot a group of fallow deer standing in the high grass. The fallow deer noticed me quickly, and started to runaway, because I was super close to them, they disappeared over the hill.
I was happy and continued my route, eventually I crossed a bigger path, which is perfect for wildlife to cross over.
As I came out of the bushes, this imaginary thought came to me “imagine if there’d be a group of fallow deer standing on my right in the middle of the path”
I looked and there they were, 4 standing statues in the middle.
I couldn’t believe what I saw.
Relaxed and calm, I made photographs with slow movements as they just stood there, checking me out.
After a couple photo’s, I stood still. I checked them out, as they checked me out, we enjoyed each others company for a few minutes, then I decided to continue, and they fled into deep forest.
This was an extraordinary encounter.
